Pratish’s expertise lies in all areas of banking, trade finance, project finance, securitisation, regulatory, policy matters and restructuring. He specializes in matters pertaining to acquisition & leveraged financing, trade & commodity finance, project finance, overseas direct investments, regulatory & policy, securitisation & receivables financing and restructuring & distressed assets. He also advices and represents clients on issues pertaining to enforcement involving complex security structures with interplay of multiple jurisdictions and legal systems.

He has substantial experience in handling a wide portfolio of debt transactions (like secured, bilateral, syndicated, project financing, rupee and foreign currency denominated borrowings, etc.), debt instruments (non-convertible instruments and equity linked non-convertible debentures) and structured finance products.

Pratish is regarded as a ‘go to lawyer’ for his knowledge and proficiency in securitisation transactions and has advised on a wide array of complex securitisation and direct assignment matters including on securitisation of standard assets, securitisation of non-performing assets and pass through structures. He regularly advices domestic and international clients on factoring, forfeiting, bill discounting, receivables financing and other trade finance transactions and has been instrumental in structuring such transactions.

Pratish is approached by the World Bank on an ongoing basis for providing his expert recommendations in preparing their report on “Doing Business”.
